dont think there is fw hermit crabs but i dont think they must have water. i could be wrong on that part. its hard to tell the size but doesnt seem too bad for 1-2.

ok thanks. from what i read the freshwater is fine but i need to put a little container with some salt water. and the bucket itself is a 5 gallon, but only 2 1/2 gallons of water.

so no hermit crab instead i went with a regular freshwater crab.
