I went out and bought some test strips today, I tested both my 25 gal community tank and my 10 gallon QT tank. I bought 3 new additions, an african dwarf frog, gupppy, and a long finned blu danio with a spine deformity, its totally healthy it just looks like a hunch baack ahaha. I tested my 25g first and its alkalinity is which is at 300 (highest on the chart) and my pH is so high, its colour wasnt even on the chart.. How do I lower this? I checked my 10 gallon wich has the same tap water with some water conditioner and its readings come back with really low alkalinity & pH ... this makes no sense !

As long as your are swimming and feeding actively I wouldn't adjust it.

The alternative is to go the african cichlid route with a larger tank???? hehehe

well the fish that are in there now seem healthy & happy , but before that they were dropping dead .
