I read a while ago that you can use hardware store's peat moss in your aquarium. Which one though? Anybody know the specific brand that has no chemicals and is aquarium safe? Thanks.

I usually use the fluval peat moss granules and it's just expensive. If I can buy a big sack of peat at home depot an can use that for the price of one box of fluval peat, then It's a no brainer.

As long as there are no additives and you rinse well I dont see why it would be an issue...

Obviously, that is the case. That's why I'm asking for the right brand because I don't want to lose any of my fish for a cheap peat moss.
