how do I measure my Angelfish correctly? how big do they grow?

I measure my fish using the "STANDARD LENGTH"
Is this the correct method?


Based on the standard length, my angelfish is 3 inches.
Is this adult size? will it continue to grow?
I have 1 angelfish in a 45 gallon (36" (Length) x 14" (W) x 20" (Height) ).

That is how I measure them. They can get 6 inches or more, depends on the variety.

My angelfish is a Koi variety.
Do you know how big the Koi varieties grow?

wow, 6 inches seems very large !
In which case, mine would be considered medium-size length.

4-5 is more typical but I have seen some brutes.
