How long can I keep fry in the tank

So I had a batch of 15 fry born a little over a week ago. I kept them in the breeding box but I decided to let them out in my main tank today. I think a few got eaten but now my other platys aren't trying to eat them or anything. I have a 10 gal with 5 adult platys in it right now along with probably 10 remaining fry. My question is, how long can I keep them in there? because I know it is over crowded but I don't want to give them away just yet.

With a lot of water changes you could probably get away with leaving them in there until they reach about an inch. But definitely keep an eye on your parameters.
