I've got a few new fish from the LFS today and a few hours after I brought them home, one died. All other are fine and all my water tests are good. Real question is: I've got to take the dead fish back to the LFS tomorrow with a sample of water from the tank. I'm leaving the tank overnight and won't be able to come back until after I go to the LFS. Can i take a sample of water with me tonight and to the LFS tomorrow and it still be accurate?

It should be just make sure the sample of water you are bringing doesn't have the dead fish in it or that will make your ammonia higher
Thanks, I knew enough to make sure the dead fish wasn't in the water! Ill just bring a container separate with some tank water in it.
