How many fish

so I want to go out and get maybe some Otto catfish as algae eaters. My question is how many should I get if I only get a couple will they eat too much ? Should I buy a lot?

Knowing the size of your tank, how long it has been setup, and what other fish are in there should get you some (helpful) answers.

Lol sorry 30 long and has been set up for like 9 months and jus started growing green algae

What other fish/critters do you have in your tank?

What does your water chemistry test? Ph, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates

Would say 3-5. Keep in mind if you do not have much algae you will need to supplement them like I do mine.

I have snails in my tanks, they help clean the plants and one cat fish.
The glass I clean with a sponge.
I am temped to get one more catfish.

Ottos do better in groups and are not the most hardy of fish. Merited snails are nice for algae and are interesting.

Nerite snails.
