How many males, how many females?

i have two ideas for a ten gallon tank. 3 sparkling gouramis and 4-6 pugmy cories. Or 3 dwarf pufferfish.

How many males/females should i get of each.

A 10 gallon tank is too small for active fish. They need more room. This sized tank might be fine for inactive fish like a Betta or Loach, but not for most species.

If you're wanting a tank, go with a 20 gallon long. A 30 G would be much better and give you the best chance for success.

I would go with just 1 male sparkling gourami and 2 females but no more than 1 male. The pygmy corys don't matter

If you went with the dwarf puffer than a single puffer is all that would fit in a 10g.
