How should my tank smell ?

My tanks all have a heavy organic smell, almost that of dirt, I don't know if this is good or bad, all have live plants, any insight would be appreciated!

Every tank I ever kept has had that earthy smell. If it smells like dirt that's normal. It shouldn't be so strong you could smell it from across the room though. OS.

Yup. Put your nose down close to the water and should smell earthy. If more than that you need to do more and perhaps larger water changes and possibly feed less.

It's that earthy smell for sure, not overwhelming, when I flip the lid and take a good whiff! I kind if like it! Smells like success to me
