How to QT Siamese Algae Eater

I just picked up a pair of SAE and want to quarantine them first. I have a 33 gallon tank setup and cycled. Since there is no algae in this tank what do I feed them for a few weeks? Just algae wafers?

I would drop one in and see how they do. As long as they are willing to go down and get i you will fine.

What do you feed the rest of your fish?

Mostly tropical flakes and beef heart.
I put a rock that was covered in black and green algae in the tank. So far they are just swimming back and forth frantically.

Hopefully they are true SAE

I would definitely not feed them beef heart.

They will probably eat the flakes though.

If you take pics we can try to ID them.
