How to sculpt lava rock?

Hey, I got these 2 big chunks of red lava rock for my 55g tanganykina tank and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to sculpt it. I was going to use a dremel tool and maybe a chisel and a hammer. How does that sound?

Sounds good I think... be sure to wear eye protection though!

you might wanna wear a full face shield... last time i did something similar to that, i ended up with a piece of concrete stuck in my cheek... it hurt

An angle grinder or a die grinder would be faster for getting the rough shape you're looking for, then finish the shape with the dremel.
