How to seed QT tank

How do I seed a [acronym:143d33ec92="quarantine or quart depending on context"]QT[/acronym:143d33ec92] tank. I know this sounds like a stupid question but I'm confused. I know I can put gravel in a stocking from an established tank, but will this be enough bacteria for a couple of fish. A [acronym:143d33ec92="Activated Carbon"]AC[/acronym:143d33ec92] 150 foam block won't fit in my Penguin 125 (I tried jamming it in there but carbon got all in the [acronym:143d33ec92="Activated Carbon"]AC[/acronym:143d33ec92] foam). Should I put the gravel in it and cycle it with food or ammonia? Any ideas on how to seed the [acronym:143d33ec92="quarantine or quart depending on context"]QT[/acronym:143d33ec92] would be great.

I used some of the water from a seasoned tank, a open plastic container with gravel from another tank and a foam filter unit in the tank. Carbon in [acronym:3e7c6ad109="quarantine or quart depending on context"]QT[/acronym:3e7c6ad109] tank will absorb meds if you have to treat the fish.

Nevermind, I'll put the [acronym:1f0c78a72a="quarantine or quart depending on context"]QT[/acronym:1f0c78a72a] filter on the established tank. Stupid me! Its a whisper though might be a little noisy.
