I found some little anemone looking things in my tank and found out they're hyrda. I've read mixed info on whether these guys are bad or good, so any help here? How did they get into my tank? Am I over feeding? What are they feeding on? Do I need to scour the tank and get rid of them? What if I just leave them alone?

I'm always doing water changes, as this is my Discus tank. Plus, the hydra are stuck on the leaves of my plants.

Hydra sting/catch little things like baby fish, but shouldn't cause any problems for discus. They are pretty cool IMO. If you want them gone, you could clear them by hand or cut down on wasted food, since that is probably what they are living off.
