How much hydrogen peroxide do I use to spot treat algae?

I would use no more than 1ml / gallon of 3% to spot treat. I would half that if you have snails that you like such as nerite or mystery snails.

Turn off all your filters and lights then squirt it onto the algae slowly. Wait 15 minutes then turn the filters back on.

Thanks for the speedy replies Coralbandit and Mebbid! I have jungle vals and I am afraid to use excel. Only really have a problem with my Anubias Nana.

Many different approaches on this one.
I never shut off filters!
Doing so is to let the h202 settle.
Many desire this or think it is necessary to kill the algae,I don't.
In many links they run the filter while treating allowing them to go with higher doses.
I certainly agree with M that you need to watch your inverts as all are at risk with most algae treatment.
The one two punch is a great treatment I read about years after I had already established my regiment;
The "One-Two Punch" Whole Tank Algae Treatment
All the info has been edited and is on page 1!
No need to read much more.
I have gone as high as 1ml per gallon and even used h2o2 in one of my reefs for a 2 month treatment .

Hope this helps!(y)
