with the cheers of the folks at www.loaches.com who were literally making up loach catching songs to spur me on I tried

Loach in a bottle -- baiting a bottle
two nets
leaving the top open to see if they'd jump while I was around to catch th em. (this being the desperation move)

what worked....

A tiny net .. caught one then the the other hanging around the front this morning and I grabbed teh little net this time.. they curled right up into it...

loaches at lfs.. lfs had already sold all of the others and were happy to see them. I educated lfs kids about just how long and wide these get... skinny and six inches ain't it when they can be a foot long and wrist wide... and I said goodbye to two sweet but misplaced loaches.

congrats sherry! you did it! did they rest of your tank survive? not too much displacement i hope. now, NO MORE HOLISHING! :):):) (but don't get any more fish for a while ;))

I displaced three blades of lileopsis. :)

I am going to evict some of the Rummy's I think to make room for rainbows.

so my original plan of rainbows, apistos, and cats will be in place.
