I just added sand to my tank but..

When will it be a good time to turn the filter back on?

I added the sand about 1:30 ago

What sand did you use? I've been using pool filter sand, very cheap and looks nice. I rinse it real well and still clouds the water for a day or so but I only turn the filter off for the first hour or so.

I used black sand and I rinsed for about a half hour till the water looked clear. But I have a lot of air bubbles will they mess up my filter?

Air bubbles where? In the sand?

Air bubbles coming from the sand and up to the surface?
If so, the filter should be fine. It just makes some noise when the bubbles get sucked up into the impeller.

Yeah, I turned on my filter and everything sounds and looks fine.
