That might be a nickname for a certain fish species. If it is an un-common one, not many people know what fish you are talking about. I myself have never heard of it though.
Cylindrical shape, small fan-shaped tail, it swims with exhagerated movements. Dark red colour, with 3 longitudinal stripes (one at each side and one median). Long snout. 5 cm.
Unmistakable. Due to body movements and shape it can recall some small pipe fishes like Doryramphus japonicus.
Associated organisms
Often but not necessarily with Diadema sea urchins, swimming with exhagerated movements among the spines. Often seen associated with branching hard corals (Acropora).
