Fast? Not really. It will take a few day min just to control and a couple weeks to completely get ride of. Get your water up to around 85, for about two weeks. But do it slowly so you don't shock the fish and kill them.

...will do absolutely nothing to treat ich.

Either try bumping up the heater to 86-88 degrees and SLOWLY add the recommended dose of Kosher salt (or aquarium salt, but you'll be overpaying), or choose one of the ich meds you find at pet stores and follow the directions exactly. Either method should take care of it fairly quickly.
 
Ok ill do it in the morning because its 12am in the uk and im tired
 
Listen to severnum mama heat and salt is the best way to treat it, I used meds and almost killed my corys :(
