Ich question

So a couple days ago I bought a new black Molly and the next day I realized it had ich on its body. So I took it back for a new molly but didn't treat the tank. This morning I found my sunset platy dead but not white spots and it was perfectly fine last night. Is ich the reason he died? I'm gonna get ich safe guard tablets to treat the rest of my tank. And my waters parms are perfect btw

Probably not. Maybe it became stressed and died because of the new fish in the tank, or maybe the new fish attacked it. Every black Molly I have bought (about 4 or 5) has gotten ich within the first month of having it. Treating the tank is a good idea
