Ideas for 36 gallon FW tank

Currantly I am building a stand so I can move the tank. for now, I am looking to pic all you freshy's brains, and see what Ideas we come up with. I was thinking of a very "Rocky" Look, with natural stone, perhaps a river tank, so to speak. I don't want to just throw some fake plants and a few stones in there, and then buy whatever fish looks nice. I'd like to have it all planed out.

And then you could collect either rare plants and fishes or make a biotope where everything comes from one area.
