Hmm. I can be 100% wrong but IMO it looks like a tiger barb.

Its a tiger something but looking at the tiger barbs on Internet I don't think it is although I see why you may think that. The pic is not good I know.

I think I may have cracked it I believe it's a tiger datnoid.

Totally looks like a scat to me, but I don't know of them living in just fresh water, is your tank brackish?

It's a Tiger Datnoid, wrong shape and pattern for a Scat and Tiger barb.

Jody shape is a bit similar to the scat...

But that being said- that fish looks cool, though maybe a bit challenging. Keep us update!
