Identification help

My brother rescued this pleco or catfish from the mart with all the walls. The cashier didn't know what it is so he got it for 39 cents! But we need to find out what it is so he can start planning for it getting bigger. Sorry for blurry but he wasn't going for a photoshoot

Its sold as a synodintis lace or nigrita, but its actually a synodintis eupteus (spelling) they get really big. Super cool fish though i also may have 1 or 2 i may ir may not of acquired from a certain place
