identify my betta please

he is still young. I got him from the halfmoon section but he looks like a rosetail im not sure

He can be both! If when fully flared, his tail makes a perfect 180 degree half circle, he is a HM. Rosetail has to do with how "feathery" the tail edges are.

i know but when he does flare it doesnt fan out to a full 180 degree.
