identifying a pregnant Gold Comet Swordtail

Hi all,

Can anyone advise the best way to identify a pregnant Swordtail? My females' belly seems to be rather big but in all honesty I don't know?

I would guess that it is, however I'm no expert so someone more experienced should chime in. Also, I think you could get more answers if this were in the "breeding" section of the freshwater forum. Just pm a moderator and ask for the thread to be moved there.

She looks pregnant , but very early stages . I would say another 3 weeks to go yet.

I second that. She is gravid but not any were near ready to release her brood.
