That's incredible. I've got something like that set up along the West wall of my house. My gizmo filters a 17,000 gallon swimming pool. Lol. Seriously, your system is one of the most creative ones I've ever seen posted.

Thanks V227. I owe a lot of the creativity to you guys here on the forum. There is a wealth of information, you just have to have the patience to go thru it to get the inspiration you need.
You have a large swimming pool, so I imagine the filter is massive as well. Can you post a pic.
I think that's bigger than our swimming pool filter!

The sand filter would certainly hold plenty of bio material. Easy to clean too, just backwash. The water flow could be an issue. I believe the pump is 1.5 HP.. It circulates a lot of water. I've actually read where very small above ground swimming pool sand filters have been converted for large aquarium use.
I have seen that done here - although along with the pool as well sometimes (sorry kids, fish in this one).

Hey all. Sorry it's been quiet for a while. I've been busy with my new grand daughter which was born December 31st. One of the last babies for the year.
That little bundle of joy has been keeping me occupied which has been a good thing considering that I have been anxiously waiting my tank to cycle.
Meet Victory Anai
So I'm currently at work and I can't wait till my day is over so I can put these little guys into the tank. The first of many many new fish.
These are part of my cleanup crew. Three small L445 Spotted Rubbernose Plecos. Sorry for the blurred pics. I'll try to get better ones tonight
