I picked up a bag of these as teabags and directions are replace weekly. I've got one in the betta tank and so far can't tell if it is doing anything. Does the water change colour with using them?

I use them in a sixty gallon. I do not see any change with them or alder cones in color of water

Thanks for the reply! They were free (well off society raffle table) so thought to give them a try.

The teabags are quite convenient but its ended up floating where the betta gets fed so he has taken offence to it. Still got another 6 teabags in the pack to try out.

I like the teabag idea. I generally tuck mine in down low somewhere. My Bolivians spawn on them, ottos graze on them. I don't know if the positive press they get is real. I don't see a negative

They should give your water a brownish tint. Not dark like tea but def tinted.
