Hi all,

I've just made a spray bar which is now creating a nice slow but constant flow in all area's of the tank. While doing some rearranging i sturred up a load of dust etc and realised that it actually took quite a while to clear.

At the moment the filter intake is placed in the back right corner. I'm wondering, would the filter intake be more efficient if it was to be designed more along the lines of a spray bar? I ie if i was to change it for a tube and drill a series of holes all the way up it? My theory is that it would be filtering water from a larger area of the water column?

Providing i was careful not to drill too many or too larger holes would this work? Has anyone else tried this?

It might be possible with a strong pump. However, I would think that the area of the bar closest to the filter would be doing most of the work (i.e. it wouldn't be well distributed).
