i have 3 SAE's in my 29 gallon. if theres any problems my lfs is nice enough to let me exchange them for something the same price and lower. one of them is looking extra plump so im guessing its pregnant. i dont know how to sex them. i doubt many people do. their true SAE. Siamese Flying Fox. its not like dropsy or watever. the scales arent sticking out. and the other 2 have a lil plumpness but not as much as the 1st one. im guessing for the other 2 they've been eating well. but the other one is pout of proportion.

any suggestions? because ive never heard reports of SAE's breeding

I doubt it.... But, keep us updated.

SAEs are not Flying foxes, however. Crossocheilus siamensis is the species name of SAEs, Epalzeorhynchus kalopterus is the species name for Flying Foxes.

i know. its one of the synonyms of them though on all my research.

hmm
does anyone else have SAE's and have this problem/dilemma? only other person frmo memory that has SAE's is bearfan.
