Is the pf15 uv filer any good for smaller tanks?

I was looking for a uv sterilizer for my aquarium when I discovered that I would be paying about 50$ for a new one. I might as well replace my old power filter while I'm at it, seeing as its on its last legs so I was wondering if any has used this filter. is iit is any good, if not what do you recommend ?

It's a gimmick.
You can look at it one of two ways...
One, the flow rate is too great for the tiny low watt lamp to be effective, or, the lamp wattage is too little for the flow rate. Either way it is just not going to work on anything except maybe a free floating algae bloom (maybe). Search effective UV flow rates for info about how much flow per watt you need for any UV "sterilizer" to be effective.

What kind of uv sterilizer do you think I should get?

I have a 10 gallon tank with guppies glow lights and a pair of cardinal tetras

It's not a required, or even very useful, piece of equipment. Why do you think you are in need of one?

I've been having problems with parasites and algae in my tank. The parasites Killed most of my cardinals, last time around now I'm looking for a permanent solution to the problem.

The aggressive fish helped finish off most of the rest. I only have 2 of my cardinals left
