Hey guys,

So I went crazy yesterday and bought another filter so I can seed it for about another month before I get my thirty gallon in. Question: is there such thing as overfiltering? My tank is 30 gallons. I currently have running in there an Aquaclear 50, a Marineland BioWheel 200, and an Aquaeon 30. Is that too much filtration? Also the Marineland makes A LOT of surface distruption, should that be a problem with my betta???

Okay...do you think I am having uneccesary waterflow? I can always turn off the Aquaeon 30 when necessary.

Are you getting a second 30gal? If so, and your fish are not stressed, i'd say keep the three going so the third gets seeded.

if your fish like water current, i wouldnt worry. i say the more filtration the better, more delicate fish like angels or discus would not really like the high water flow, but fish like silver dollars or pictus cats or tetras wouldnt mind.
