Is it a common pleco? What size tank?

My common did that to blend in with the substrate...perhapsit's just camoflauge...

Yeah its a common one and tank is a 70 gal I know to small but he came with the tank

That's undertandable. I don't think that's too small of a tank, but that's just me.

He looks fine if all your ammonia, nitrites and nitrates check out.

My pleco changed color pretty rapidly in the pond, so I'd say it's normal. If he turns completely pale it's probably sick or stressed, though.
