Is This Normal?

I'm in the middle of my fishless cycle and noticed this growth the other day. It most likely came off one of the plants I bought from the fish store to help seed the tank.

I have my ammonia>nitrite BB up and going and I'm waiting on my nitrite>nitrate BB to establish. So my water has no nitrates in it yet and tons of nitrites. I'm keeping the water at 84F.

Is this normal apart growth or something I should be worried about?

You are referring to the brownish spots? It looks like diatoms. These should go away in a few weeks. This is normal.
