Japanese algae eating shrimp

I can't seem to find my japanese eating shrimp. My ghost shrimp is swimming around like crazy i always see him and my japanese eating shrimp were both out yesterday and now I can't seem to find them. I don't want to move things around looking for them but i want to make sure they are still alive. what should i do?
