Java fern help!

Hello. I have a java fern in my 10g and I went on vacation for a week and when I get back it has little plants with long roots on the tips of each leaf. Did my plant pretty much just give birth??

Yeah pretty much, it usually would do that when it's going to die soon.

This is correct. Java ferns will propagate in this manner, developing new rhizomes at the tips of leaves.

Okay cool! Now will they thrive well because I would love to try to grow as many of them as possible. Is there a special protocol to growing them?
