This is just kind of a hunt for fun kinda thing but would this work,

i ahve seen a "water bridge" type thing and i was wondering if i could do that with tanks that are different sizes? for me it would be a 10 and 30 gal. well TIA and this isnt that important!!

That does sound like a fun project. The water level in your aquariums would need to be the same height.
