Killie fish

I was thinking about getting some killiefish and I had read somewhere that you cant keep two males in the same tank. I was wondering if that was true.

It depends on the killifish....but in general that is correct. Male killifish can get pretty territorial and will fight with other males pretty frequently.

What if the killifish are different kinds?

Again....it depends on the killifish. If they're similar in appearance then that might be enough to trigger territorial combat. In many cases, however, you can get away with males that are dissimilar in appearance in the same tank.
