I was wondering if black beauty is as potent as everyone says. i have play sand in my tank right now and just dont like how fine it is and how easily it stirs up. I saw a tank today with black beauty in it and it had a lot of cichlids in it, i have cichlids as welll, so i came home and looked up black beauty online, i like the look, like the price but dont like what im hearing about it. i really wanna get some i just dont know if its actually risky... can anyone help me out. t. i. a.

Never tried it but haven't gotten a lot of good reviews on it. Have you looked into Tahitian moon sand? It is a lot more expensive mind you.
