Kuhli loaches

How many kuhli loaches should I have together, I keep reading that they need to have at least 5 and also that they can be alone

I wouldn't keep them alone they really like their company and are more out going when there's a few. How many depends on the size of your tank and your stock.

55 gallon elephant nose tank.
30 gallon boraras ,bamboo shrimp, crs,rcs and different snails.

Agreed, what she said is 100% true. I have 5 and they love hanging out together, eating together and you won't ever see them alone. They are social fish.

I agree. I'd say 5-6 to keep them happy. What size tank are you planning to put them in, and what other inhabitants will share it with them?

thanks for the comments im putting five in a 30g tank with a blue gourami and a bristle nose pleco
