My Kuhulis do this i think its funny they just poke their heads out

just got back from that fish place where I wandered around with a 305 intake tube and lots of sideways glances digging open packages when no one was looking and the best match I found was this---- photo issues let me try something else

it's a kit to convert a powerhead into pump for reverse ugf



and the tapered insert (center) for the sponge(left) fits the intake tube(right) perfectly snug $ 10.99 hope this helps gotta go install it now while my rcs are acclimating

Wow, thank you guys soooo much for all the advice and suggestions!!!! Sorry for the late response, had a lot of house work lol.

Manbeast I actually ended up picking up something really similar at the LFS last night. So far how is it working for you?

One of these is just a black sponge that slides over the intake tube. The other in the box comes with a few different size adapters, but it's a little large and bulky. Im gonna try them Sunday when I do my water change, whichever looks better and fits good I'm gonna keep. I'll let you guys know how it turns out!

Thanks for posting this! I ended up with some baby kuhilis too, and never would have ever thought to put something over the fluval intake. You saved their little lives

No problem George9. Just an update, I went with the ATI pre filter with the adapters since the other sponge didnt fit my intake. So far, seems to be working well. It's a little bit of an eye sore but I hid it well. See the pics!
