Can kulhi (sorry if spelling wrong) loach live happily in community tank with gravel instead of sand? I know they like to burrow so is gravel ok?

They need cover, and how "happily" they live depends on the rest of the stocking in the community as well as the overall setup.

Lots of hiding places and in with guppies mollies tetras and corys

I have used coconut shells. I age them a week in water which is changed every day before putting them in the tank. I use a 3/8's drill bit to create holes for the loaches to poke their heads out of.

I have mine in gravel in my 150 gallon tank. They don't seem to mind it at all, just keep it clean and provide lots of places to hide.

Went for a few rummy nose tetras instead cos wasn't sure about getting them especially seeing as they hide so much. Cos I'm still new to fish keeping I like to see my fish to make sure they haven't croaked it on me! Lol might get some in future, coconut shells are a great idea virbius
