Lighting article URL
I apologize for the URL (I'd like to write this myself, but I'd just plagiarize it all).
I'm still new to the hobby and found this article to be very informational. It refers to Salt Water lighting but most of it is applicable to [acronym:6bdfd5eddf="Freshwater"]FW[/acronym:6bdfd5eddf] as well since it's information about lighting and not how it applies to [acronym:6bdfd5eddf="Saltwater"]SW[/acronym:6bdfd5eddf]. http://saltaquarium.about.com/cs/lig...a/aa031300.htm

Keep in mind that in [acronym:13400e640f="Freshwater"]FW[/acronym:13400e640f], even planted tanks, there's no need to go above 3 watts per gallon.
