Question Lighting question

I have been looking at the blue moon lighting for aquariums for nighttime use. They also have green and red and white etc....I was just curious, does anyone know what the effect of having a black light on there at night would have on the tank, plants and fish? Just curious if anyone had ever done that.

I've done moonlights, which have little to no effect. Never done a blacklight though.

There are some tanks and fish that I think would look really cool under black light. I have thought of that before, but I wonder the same thing... Would it have any detrimental effects on the tank and it's inhabitants?

I have seen black lights on tanks in lfs to show off their glowing fish but I didn't ask them about the effects on the fish cause in my experience the people that work there don't know anything about anything hehe. Just try to sell you stuff.
