Hey everyone
I have just done my weekly waterchange.
Straight after, i notice millions of little particles clouding the water.
On further inspection. I noticed limescale on the back of the filter and on the airline.
It seems to be millions of particles of dislodged limescale.

When i did water test yesterday the GH did seem higher than usual an ph lower than usual.

Question is. How bad is limescale to fish and how to prevent it.

It does seem to be slowly looking clearer

Thanks for the reply. Here are readings from test strips just done. Cant wait to get some dough and buy a proper test kit

It now looks clear from a small distance but get up close and you can still see small bits floating.
I cant see any on the filter sponges so im presuming it just gets digested back into the water. Is that correct

Yes algae can be white, it could be algae spores too. I would do a scrub and water change to reduce or eliminate. Best of luck.
