Hello all,

First post here. i have been keeping fish for about a year have 2 tanks a 65L tropical and a 65L coldwater.

after a year of enjoying my fish i am looking to buy a tank around the 300L size. does anyone have any advice. i am planning on transferring all my tropical fish into the new tank when it is safe.

Has anyone done this before and how did it go?

Kind Regards,

Lloyd

Lots of folks have made the leap to larger tanks. It is pretty easy to do. Just get the new tank up and running with substrate/decor, and new filtration system. Add as much filter media from your old tank as you can to the new system, and transfer the fish. This will port over your biological filter and prevent your tank from having to go through another cycle period. After a few weeks, you are ready to add some more fish with your new space available :)

Welcome to AA, by the way!
