Hi all,

I'm new to aquariums, so this might seem like a strange question. I have a 3-gallon aquarium that is home to two Buenos Aires Tetras. I've had the fish for about a year, but the tank and Whisper Filter are new (a few weeks). Everything seems to be working fine, but I have noticed that the water level has decreased about an inch since I filled the aquarium a few weeks ago. What is the proper way to maintain the water level?

All help is appreciated.

Scott

Top off the water as needed being sure to dechlorinate the new water and do water changes every 1-2 weeks. your water loos is probably due to evaporation particulary if your tank top is not real tight. :D

Whisper Filter are new (a few weeks).

Thats whats causing your water level to drop. As was said its due to evaporation. The wisper filter has increased the evaporation rate thus more water evaps faster.
