Male or female electric blue ram!!!! HELP

Hard to tell I believe females have speckles on their black spot but yours doesnt even have a black spot perhaps too young? females also tend to have shorter dorsal fins

With electric blues the main tell is size. They dont always have the large variation in color that the regular rams have.

Hard to say, pretty pale in the pic. Maybe once it lightens up a bit it'll be easier to tell. If I had to guess I'd say male though.

From my research, the main tell is their dorsal fin. Males will have longer front “barbs” (the two black parts that are a bit longer on both) and the end will be pointed. With females, the end is rounded. The males typically have longer ventral fins as well. *Note: This is for adult rams. Juvies are hard to sex. Once they start to mature, their differences are noticeable.

From that pic, I'd guess* female too. But, it's still rather young...lol

I have five rams which are hard to tell too...

think they mostly look like females, due to the curved/rounded fin.

Also Apologies about the orientation of the pictures - I uploaded them portrait - but for some reason they went landscape.

the last two look a bit ill/unwell - I got them like that - thinking I could make them healthier??!
