I have the opportunity of a used marine tank and was wondering, if properly cleaned could it be used for freshwater without any complications.
Thanks in advance

I don't see why not, I had marine and went to fresh, is it just a tank or including pump and filter?......

I used a saltwater tank as freshwater for a long time, complete with the overflow and sump filter. It worked great. The only thing I'd say as warning is that since in general saltwater fish are bigger than freshwater fish, you have to be careful about fish going down the overflow box.

No. It's a plain tank. Gonna go for it and give it a good clean. Thanks

Scrape coraline off with a razorblade keeping surface wet during. If you scrub too hard using another type of scrubber you could scratch the glass.
