i just bought a plastic plant from petsmart ..saw an almost identical one at michaels is it safe to use in my aquarium ..is there some kind of catch this just seems too good to be true..i rinsed and it feels the same as the one i bought at petsmart what do you guys think??
thanks-david

I've used fake stuff from michaels before with no issues. Make sure they didn't apply any scents or anything to make it smell nice. I've used both plastic and silk stuff from them.

ok cool thanks alot for the reply u think if i washed with hot water it would take any scent stuff off i mean its bamboo so i doubt i tbut just in case?

No matter what you get always do a good washing on new items.

Just sniff it, you should be able to tell if there's any smelly stuff on there. If it's not a strong unexpected odor (I say unexpected because plastic should smell like plastic, not potpourri) then it'll probably be okay.
