Mixing my Pleco

I already have one Pleco and I wondered if there would be any problems if I introduced a second of similar size into the tank as long as they both have somewhere to hide up

How big is the tank? Is that a common pleco? Plecos are peaceful for the most part but can become extremely territorial around other plecos. .

Commons get pretty big, around 14", you have 40 gal roughly? I'd rehome that pleco and look into a couple smaller types like bristle nose or rubber lip..

Clown plecos stay small and more than 1 can be kept together also. Commons do get huge and are notorious for sucking the slime coat off of other fish, even eating small fish.
