mold on filter housing??

I just found what looks to be mold on the inside of my aquaclear cover. It was black on the side facing the cover with white crystalized looking on the other side.I guess its like an incubator with all that warmth and moisture.
I wiped it off with a tissue.
Anyways, is this something i need to be concerned about for my health, and/ or my fishs health?
Is it even possible this is mold just growing on the plastic?

Nah, I wouldn't worry about it. You should see the inside of my Python tube.

Just wipe it off as needed. I don't think there is much else you can do about it.
